Weekend Buddhist Meditation Retreats
During meditation retreat we take ourselves away from our usual routines
and learn how to develop the inner peace that we need for our daily
happiness. So many benefits come from engaging
in retreat. On the retreats we learn Buddhist meditation techniques.
Meditation enables us to create space in our mind and enjoy a fresh
perspective on life. A Buddhist meditation retreat is a meaningful
holiday that brings great long-term benefit to our lives.
Weekend meditation retreats consist of guided meditations and teachings.
There is plenty of time for walks, meeting with like minded people,
or just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Centre.
The typical schedule on retreat is four meditation sessions of about
one hour each, every day. The sessions are fully guided by qualified
Buddhist meditation teachers.
Different levels of retreat are offered at Bodhisattva Buddhist Centre,
Brighton, UK: Introduction to meditation weekend retreats, Clear mind
meditation retreat with our Resident Teacher Kelsang Chodor. We also
hold regular more in depth retreats each year focussing on specific
aspects of Buddhist practice and in January we hold a special week
long guided lamrim retreat - a Buddhist meditation retreat covering
the cycle of 21 lamrim meditations.
